If you know exactly what you want and order take out or delivery this may be the place for you, but if you have questions about the menu or wish to dine in go elsewhere. Our first choice was closed so based off reviews and rating we tried this place and wished we hadn't. There was very little seating and a weird table of yard sale type used items for sale. They couldn't describe any of the dishes when asked about them - they reiterated the names or gave faulty descriptions when they went to the back for help answering. No free water here, we were forced to buy bottles and then were presented with room temp bottles. Everything was served in to go containers with flimsy plastic forks as if it was take out despite their claim online and in person of there being dine in which we were supposedly doing. The dumplings were good, but the sauce was flavorless so we couldn't enjoy them. The meals were okay, but not as expected by the descriptions given. The pork egg roll was the highlight.

Great for consistent standard americanized chinese food. Perfect for take out or delivery, staff is dedicated to getting your order right. Other shops in Lansing tend to be less consistent. Their General Tso's is excellent.

I dined in at this restaurant and the service was really nice. Their staff was very friendly as well, I do see my self coming back soon. I ordered the black pepper chicken which came out smelling very fresh and delicious!

This place use to be really good quality food. They must have changed owners or leaders. The lemon chicken I normally get was always thin chicken breast pieces and a thiccccccc thick lemon glaze. We ordered tonight and I go breaded chicken pieces that come in a 00's mall style sweet and sour and a lemon flavored water. AND THE PRICE WENT WAY UP! My dads sesame chicken was the same dried up chunks of mall meat and almost no sesame seeds. Go back to the old recipes!!!!!!

Despite a slew of negative recent reviews, I decided to give Asian Gourmet a shot. Upon entering it was obvious that this restaurant was an old school, traditional Americanized Chinese restaurant that was setup primarily for takeout. The menu was fairly extensive with fair pricing for today’s world. Some of the staff could use a bit of training in conversation with Americans as the girl taking my order was a bit short, but I think that was more of a cultural difference than her trying to be mean. My food was ready after a relatively short wait and I opted to sit at one of their few tables. I was generally satisfied with my food. The fried rice was good and the orange chicken was decent but could have had a bit better sauce. I really enjoyed my egg roll and found the crab rangoons to be bigger than what most Chinese restaurants have in the area. In the end, I felt like I had a satisfying meal at a fair price. Keep in mind that they do not really have a way to service drinks, so plan ahead if you want something to drink.
